Yes; The Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) requirements change, but at the time of this writing, the purchaser must have fired a minimum of 50 shots in a sanctioned competition. Additionally, there are other requirements, including membership in a CMP-affiliated club or organization to purchase a firearm. The STMTC meets the criteria set by the CMP. Be sure to check current requirements before purchasing rifles from the CMP.
No; however, membership is encouraged to support the organization’s mission.
Yes; a member can bring guests to practice sessions, but each guest can only come one time. After the initial visit, guests would need to join the STMTC to continue using our facilities. However, Non-members are welcome to continue participating in all scheduled events.
Bring water, sunscreen, eye & ear protection, and equipment you would like to train with. For the items you do not currently own STMTC has the following supplies which can be loaned to new shooters for that day’s event without charge: We just need to be notified prior to the event.

Spotting scope
The Organization has a limited number of match rifles to support the Junior Program. Juniors that exhibit a desire to continue marksmanship training are provided with rifles and other equipment if available. Juniors participating with a partnering organization may need to provide their own equipment. Arrangements must be made with the Junior Programs Director in advance. Please contact the Junior Program Director to inquire about making such arrangements.
